To assist our clients, depending on the particular circumstances of the case, we pay the costs of medical reports and certain other outlay required to advance a claim for compensation (subject to terms and conditions which we will detail further should you choose to engage us to act on your behalf).
If you are involved in an accident we would advise that you do the following:
take photos of the accident scene where applicable ( for example showing the position of cars etc in a road traffic accident and any damage to all property OR if you have injured yourself in a public space OR a defective product has caused an injury to you)
record the names, address and contact numbers of any witnesses and other parties involved in the accident
where possible obtain any relevant insurance details
where applicable call the Gardai to report the accident
always notify your insurance company of an accident that you have been involved in even if you believe you have not caused the accident and there is no personal or property damage
if you have been injured in any type of accident (be it at work or at a public location) seek medical attention as soon as possible
finally call us to discuss the accident and whether or not you have a claim for compensation against a third party
If you believe you have a medical negligence claim, you need to obtain your medical records as soon as possible and call us for a consultation appointment.
Please be aware that there are strict time limits within which you can make a claim if you have been involved in an accident. It is important to consult us as soon as possible ensuring that your claim is not statute barred. Should your claim be statue barred you will not be able to claim compensation for your injury.
